Data Management

Load, Price & Stack of Bids Forecasting

Extensive analytics are offered to model and simulate ISO markets worldwide. The end goal is to model and forecast each and every regional or zonal system within an ISO. The key elements we forecast are (sub)-hourly load, price and the stack of bids and offers for all generators.

Electricity Price Forecasting

    (Sub-hourly) price forecasting for clients' nodes, ISO trading hubs, Locational Marginal Prices (LMP), Load Weighted Average Prices (LWAP), etc. Short term 15 days forecasting is executed at every market period. Medium and long term load forecasting are executed once a day. Ability to create indices such as LWAP for pricing using base nodal or trading hub prices. Electricity price forecasting uses weather and selected relevant data published in a given ISO.

Forecasting ISO Stack of Bids and Offers

    The key input to bidding optimization is the ability to forecast the stack of bids and offers for a given ISO. In most ISOs, the stack of bids and offers are made available to market participants with a delay of few weeks. We expect the user to upload the most recent version of the stack of offer to our system, or we automatically fetch it on your behalf. Our proprietary model uses the historic stack, (a) and (b), and selected relevant data published in each ISO to forecast the stack of bids and offers for forward periods. Our proprietary model uses hybrid data stretching and Monte Carlo simulation.

Electricity Load Forecasting

    (Sub-hourly) load forecasting for each regional zone or trading hub. Short term 15 days forecasting is executed at every market period. Medium and long term load forecasting are executed once a day. Ability to aggregate load per region or other business rules for forecasting purposes. Load forecasting uses weather and selected relevant data published in each ISO.
